A path for Phoenix youth

BEGINNER CLASS TO
AMATEUR TEAM.

Youth boxing is broader than one age group or one class. Old School gives children a place to begin, develop sound habits and discover whether they want to train recreationally or pursue amateur competition. The beginner kids program serves ages 7–11, while older and advancing athletes are placed according to experience and readiness.

Beginner Kids

Ages 7–11 train Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4:00 p.m. The focus is coordination, fundamentals, discipline and confidence.

Developing Athletes

Consistent youth can add more advanced drills and conditioning as coaches evaluate technique, maturity and commitment.

Amateur Path

Athletes who want to compete progress toward controlled sparring, USA Boxing registration and appropriately matched bouts.

What parents should know

SAFETY BEFORE
COMPETITION.

Young athletes do not walk into the gym and begin fighting. Coaches teach movement, control and defense before contact is considered. Readiness includes consistency, coachability, emotional control, technical ability and respect for training partners.

  • Beginner kids program for ages 7–11
