Beginner boxing in Phoenix

A clear starting point
Build a stable stance, proper posture and the ability to move without crossing your feet.
Learn how to step, pivot, control distance and stay ready to punch or defend.
Develop clean straight punches, basic combinations, guard position and defensive reactions.
Improve coordination, stamina and confidence through drills matched to your current ability.
Learn boxing the right way
Old School Boxing is not a cardio class pretending to be boxing. Beginners learn the same core skills serious fighters use—broken down into understandable steps. Coaches correct your form, explain why each movement matters and help you progress without rushing you into contact.
We will learn your goals, experience and fitness level, then direct you toward the best training option. Wear athletic clothes, bring water and arrive ready to learn.
You can learn boxing, improve conditioning and challenge yourself without ever entering a bout. Competition is available, but it is never required.
Private, partner and group coaching provide different levels of attention and energy. Open gym becomes useful as you learn how to structure your own rounds.
What beginners can expect
Early sessions focus on movement, technique and repeatable habits. Bag work, mitts, shadowboxing, jump rope and conditioning are introduced according to your ability. Coaches will not pressure you to spar before you are prepared.
