Iron Boy 61 Recap
Old School Professional Boxing update from Iron Boy 61
at Camelback Inn in Scottsdale Arizona on September 1 2022.
Iron Boy 61 hosted a private professional boxing show at Camelback Inn in Scottsdale Arizona on September 1 2022. This show was a private event put on by the NAIOP, Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Arizona Chapter with Iron Boy providing the evening’s entertainment in Night at the Fights promotion with the main event being Sergio Rodriguez vs Roberto Yong.
For Sergio “Checo” Rodriguez this would be his first professional main event.
Sergio “Checo” Rodriguez (4-0-1 with 3 KOs) @checo.s.r got some much needed rounds in his young career. Checo went up against the crafty veteran in the ring, Roberto Yong (7-21-2). Robert Yong’s last bout was against Eben Vargas in a 6 rounder where he lost by Unanimous Decision. Roberto took this fight on one day’s notice. Aparently finding a fight for Sergio was a difficult task this time around and Roberto was gracious enough to step in to face Rodriguez. This fight would be at 170 lbs. and go the distance for these two warriors. There were a couple of “slips” during the contest by Y0ng but Sergio “Checo” Rodriguez would win this bout by Unanimous Decision, Eric Curcio scored the bout 39-37, Dennis O’Connell 38-38, and Gonzalo Valenzuela 40-36.
Sergio Rodriguez fights again on September 30th on Iron Boy 62
